Good to know

Understanding the price tag

What is the difference between 22K and 24K?

24K (999) is pure gold, used for coins and bars. 22K (916) is the jewellery standard — alloyed slightly for strength, and hallmarked accordingly.

What is the 916 KDM gold rate today?

It is the 22K rate shown above — "916 KDM" and "22 carat" refer to the same gold. KDM originally meant cadmium-soldered jewellery, a technique BIS banned years ago for safety; the name has simply stuck as the everyday term for 916 gold. What is sold today, including everything in our showroom, is BIS-hallmarked 916 made without cadmium.

What do I pay besides the gold rate?

Jewellery attracts making charges (varies by design) and 3% GST. Value addition of 4–6% applies on stone-set, casting and exclusive antique pieces. We print every component on the bill.

Is every piece hallmarked?

Yes. Every gold ornament we sell carries BIS hallmarking certifying its purity — a practice we follow as standard.

Why do rates change daily?

Gold is traded globally around the clock. We publish the showroom rate each morning; the rate at billing time applies to your purchase.
